The UPTF was organized at Wayne State between the fall of 2004 and the spring of 2007. The real drive to get the union certified began in January 2006, and by April 2007, WSU adjuncts voted 477 to 52 in favor of unionizing.
The UPTF is affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and with the AFL-CIO. Our main office is located at the Old School Center (or Macabees) Building, 5057 Woodward Avenue, suite 3003.
